There's this about the Pontiac GXP.R Race Car: http://www.seriouswheels.com/cars/top-2008-Pontiac-G6-GXP-R.htm

But there really hasn't been much done to really push the envelope in these cars. Have you checked out www.G6Performance.com? You're more likely to find info there about heavy performance mods.

I know that there just isn't much available for the 3.5, but there is some, as you found. I know I've read about some users who are running cams, so I'm sure you can find more info.

I have the 2.4 4cyl in my G6, and my plans include supercharging and getting a nice bit of power from it, nothing over the top though... after all it is front wheel drive, haha.

ZZP has my exact motor pushing 400 HP on e85 and a 2.2 ecotech pushing 898hp at 54psi.

My goal is a modest 250 because Its an automatic front wheel dive. I should see that with about 12psi. that much pressure on a Turbo would net me a bit more power. But eh

Yea it is a heavy car but its nicer than a Cobalt by a crap ton IMO. I've considered going to manual. I'm just curious as to what computer changes will need to be made. I'm sure the PCM can be tuned to not look for a transmission and the ABS probably doesn't need that info. A manual swap would be nice but I have no idea what the cost would be versus getting a built automatic. Still control in a manual is nice. And if I do change that I may change the forced induction plans too. If I had the money I'd do what SexyG6 is doing. Convert to RWD but keep the 4 Banger, mate it to a solstice trans and then try to build serious power, I'm talking internals and all at this point haha. Wishful thinking.

Good info. I should really figure out what a manual swap would cost. Since I can control my shifts I'll be a lot less likely to blow it under boost, it would essentially be a G6 with a Cobalt SS drivetrain. Like it is now except manual. Ha. Thing is this is my one and only car that is a daily commuter of 80+ miles. So I have to keep reliability online.
My friend put it a good way:
Think of a triangle. In one corner you have cost, the other is performance, and the third is reliability. Basically pick two. So for performance and reliability it'll cost a lot....
