Not necessarily. The dealership can only claim that the warranty is void on a specific problem is if your modification is a direct cause of the issue.

Example: If you got an exhaust and your headers blew up, and if they can prove that your exhaust caused it then you are SOL on the warranty.

It goes the other way though. If you have an CAI and you have a electrical problem, then they won't even try to look at your mod.

Isnt that what waterfowler said? I have the air intake and resonator removed and my dealership hasnt given me a hard time about it at all. Most of the techs find it cools cause they havent seen many 6s with an intake.

But yes what waterfowler said is correct.

The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. 2302(C))
This federal law regulates warranties for the protection of consumers.

The law states the use of an aftermarket part alone is not cause for denying the warranty.

It appears that installing aftermarket parts will not in itself void your warranty.

Excerpt from Corsa Exhaust Website...

Will installing a Corsa system void my vehicle warranty?
Our systems kits will not void your new car warranty. Your rights are protected under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, 15 USC, 2302.
