You can do it but i recommend that you dont.
There will be extra draw of current on something that prob has a good load on it anyway. By doing this you might just burn up something else and you headlights.
If there not bright enough at night or whatever i would try gettting some HIDS. Please see the HID thread for info and facts about it i have posted serveral times to answer almost everyones questions.
