I recently bought a 2008 G6 without xm radio radio factory installed on it. The dealership told me that the kit to add xm radio to the factory radio hasnt came out. Does anybody know anything about this? Does a 2007 kit work? Is there anywhere that i can buy the kit online?

I just purchased a g6 last Saturday, (March 31, 2008), and it came with an xm radio already installed...... maybe it's just not available from your local dealership yet. You could try contacting different dealerships and checking with them.

it is a factory option that I thought almost every chevy came with now, as long as you have a non basic stereo (am radio found in work grade vehicles) I actually wish mine hadnt coem with one, I installed my sirius and the xm is a waste for me, I wish the car had an aux input so I didnt have to run my sirius as a radio station and take the chance of lossing service based on what fm channel I run it on
