G6 Logo

I always loved how the Grand Am logo lit up in the instrument cluster in my last car, I wish the G6 logo would light up red also.

New One- Does anyone occasionally floor the accelerator to blow by some idiot, and for like a full 1-2 seconds, nothing happens. My G6 is running fine, but there is a real lag before the 240 lb/ft of torque kicks in. When it does, it makes a very satisfying sound as it leaps forward. Just wish the lag were less pronounced. Also, does ayone know if the throttle on G6s is "drive by wire?" Thought I heard that somewhere, maybe it would explain the delay...

my 6 disk plays some mp3 disks and not others. go figure...

The G6 does have Electronic Throttle Control which I suppose counts as "drive by wire".

As for MP3's my Monsoon doesn't do MP3s at all. No big deal, CDs are pretty much dead to me as far as my car is concerned. My iPod and XM Radio take care of the entertainment.

The only real annoyance I have with the G6 GT is that it's for my wife.

Ok, On my 06 GTP sedan,,
1. Low visibility looking out the rear.
2. Cd player automatically changes to the next cd when its done with the first.
3. low turning radius.
4. hesitation to start sometime. think i got that fixed though.
5. The power seat pops sometimes stopping or taking off.
6. Fog lights turn off when the high beam is on.
7. Front end low enough to catch curbs.
8. Shifter is really stiff on a cold morning about 10 F.
9. Car has a slight pull to the left 100% of the time so you have to keep you hand on the wheel
10. To find the name of the paint on your car and not a code, you have to look under your rear license plate.
11. Slight knocking sound coming from the front left strut on a cold morning on bumps.
12. The tuning knob on the radio is a bit far away. have to reach for it.
13. No light in the glove box.
14. Seats get dirty pretty easy.
15. Radio doesn't play mp3's, but a 04 sunfire does... ??
16. Driver seat about 3 inches taller than the passenger seat. Might be an adjustment but haven't looked.
17. brake dust on rims easy.
18. Speakers sound good, but the housing around them vibrates and makes some noise.

good car, hope I can fix some of these things to make me a little happier about buying it.

heated freakin' mirrors!!! need them so bad!!! complete black interior, screw the two tone tan headliner. needs comfy seats. no option for nav?! better design for rear spoiler on gxp coupes...way too big. front passenger should have power seat also.

- switch on the dome light broke (fixed it myself - boy was the switch cheap)
- fog light indicator lamp burnt out
- started creaking at low speed, like an old jalopy!

My lease expired in Nov. so I turned it in and bought an '09 G6GT. Now my fog light indicator lamp works, the dome light has no switch, it don't creak, the DIC has both an instant and average MPG, and best of all it has an input jack on the radio for my iPod.

I guess the only annoyance I have are the pano roof noise. The lack of MP3 kinda sucked at first but I got used to it. my 04 cavalier even had it. The lack of aux input sucks. it would make sense to put one or the other in not none.
I agree with the dual exhaust. It would look even better with that.

as far as i know they all have instant mpg. you just go to your mpg screen and push enter to clear it and you will get real time mpg. at least I do!

oh and there is one more annoyance. I wish there was a way to turn on the lights in the backseat while you are driving.

No no pics yet. I am planning on taking pic this spring or summer. Baby is pretty dirty right now. how do they turn on? I have a 2 year old daughter. Thats why I was looking ofr info.

When i get 2 new door speakers cause both blew out and when I get it back on the ride home they are buzzing cause the people didn't put the door back on properly

My biggest complaint is that I have to lean out of the car and stretch to reach the door handle on the door of my coupe...My old Monte Carlo had a handle right there...never had to lean or stretch...

Another realy big peave of mine...Gas fill door on the passneger side of the car...would it kill GM to move the fill to the driver side...

(G6 on Tach) Yeah, it is kind of reflective, enough to think it is an idiot light anyway. I know it seems nit-picky, but it was really driving me nuts last night. And this is the place to dump "your annoyances..."

Im having issues with my compass located in my rear view mirror...I swear I think I see police blues chasing me every time I glance at the mirror...My heart skips a beat.

Front seats that are near impossible to reach under. Man, I've dropped some slips of paper, dollar bills, and other stuff down the side of the driver's seat next to the glove box. It's an exercise in frustration trying to get that stuff back out.

I many times have dropped my keys down between the seat and console...its a pain to get them back

Even the G5 has side mirrors that are painted to match the body yet the G6 coupe doesn't. Also I would have liked bigger side mirrors

The G6 mirrors are the same as the last generation Malibu.

I have the 06 GT.
I hate the position of the cupholders. I like to put my arm on the center part and hold the shifter. I dont like the cheap plastic on the dash and center console.

I've only had the car a month, and so far thats all that bugs me. Love the car.

Just ask the germans, Cars are not made to have drinks in and have a food party. They are made for driving. On a lot of German made cars, there are not cup holders. On the autobahn, doing 130mph you don't have time to take a sip.
