Your annoyances.

I was driving yesterday and the thought hit me. I'd like to hear what annoy people about their car. Maybe someone from GM will see it and address the issue in future models.

I'm not looking for things that are wrong with your car (e.g. steering wheel lock up, leaking panoramic roof, etc.). I'm interested in things that aren't broken or unique to your car but annoy you.

For me:

- I have the 6 disc changer. I didn't really want it but I couldn't get the sunroof without it. I guess that package is an annoyance. My real annoyance is with the changer itself. I absolutely hate the fact then when you eject a disc it automatically changes to the next disc. I think you should have the option of loading a new disc in the slot that you just ejected from immediately. I don't want to have to wait for the next disc to load only to press load and have to wait again as it pulls up the empty slot. Also, maybe being able to choose to eject discs x, y, and z instead of only having the option to eject one disc at a time or all the discs at a time.

- The cheap interior plastics. My doors constantly get scuffed up and some parts of the driver door are actually worn out (for lack of a better term) after only 7 months. Also, to a lesser degree, the cheap feel of the volume and tune knobs on the radio.

- Front seats that are near impossible to reach under. Man, I've dropped some slips of paper, dollar bills, and other stuff down the side of the driver's seat next to the glove box. It's an exercise in frustration trying to get that stuff back out.

That's all I can think of. None of this stuff is a real problem, but it certainly tends to frustrate me from time to time. The 6 disc changer especially, can be very aggravating for me.

My annoyances, I could go on for days on how CHEAP these cars are built and the downright poor engineering and parts GM used to build these cars. The steering clunks (still can't design A I Shaft right), front end clunks over bumps (think it's due to the el cheapo rubber bushings everywhere that don't last 30,000 miles), rear end clunks over bumps, Electric power steering is poor with the power steering locking up which requires a new column worth about 500 bucks not including labour etc..., plastic on the back of front seats break off, brakes are to small for the car and don't last unless you drive like your grandmother, seats squeak, panaramic roof leaks (complaint from my buddy) Sheetmetal dings super easy, the 05 HVAC controls lights go out very quick, buttons seem to wear down quick due to the cheap plastic.... Lots of little things all over the car it gets depressing sometimes.
I have owned my 2010 G6 since March, here is my list:

The major thing I noticed is how poor the metal is on the body, it dents easier than any car I have owned.

The brakes are a pain, I replace brake pads every 3 months otherwise I am putting all my force on the pedal to stop the car.

The suspension is horrible, I feel every bump and my bushings sqeak like crazy over the tiniest bumps.

Poor gas mileage, I drive 90% city and I get a whopping 20mpg on average.

Cheap interior, the paint on the buttons is already wearing off, and the seats fabric snags easily.

So far, it's what I expected, a cheap and somewhat reliable car to get me around.

Atleast you have TC, the value leader had no TC and no ABS...

And I get 21 MPG driving to work, what a joke, if it had any value left I would trade it in, but my 2007 VL with 86k is only worth $5k on trade.
i need a new battery for my fob. but until that happens, its a LITTLE annoying.

Wow, I have an 08 v6 with none of those problems.

Bought mine in June and pads are still like new, I get about 23 mpg city 34 hwy and I drive aggressively, my ride is surprisingly smooth, and as far as the paint wearing off mine are like new. No snags in the seats no dents on the body considering the hail its been through.

But you may be way harder on cars then me and my 9 month old son.

Not to revive a dead thread. But my annoyances are the fact that everytime i fix one thing something else goes wrong. I currently have a weird squeak in my seat, something is clunking in the front suspension, and my dad (mechanic for 42 years) believes my fuel pump is going bad. I already had the tranny blow. Replaced under warranty. One of the back coil springs snapped. And I can't remember what else right now. I can answer one thing though for the people who are annoyed by the gas tank. When I worked at a Subaru dealer the rep answered that question for us since most new subarus gas tanks are on the passenger side. This is in case you would run out of fuel while driving you are not standing on the road trying to fill it. After I thought about it, it makes perfect sense to me.
Depends on when the car was built. While looking for one, I saw the remote option for $150 and $180. The $1550 sunroof package on my car is $1650 on others.

Though this thread is as old as my car, I'd still like to add my annoyances! (If I may)

Electric power steering is a joke
Turning radius of 36ft? Sucks
Plastic piece for the turn signals break resulting in manually holding them down
Rockers rust out
These cars won't keep an front alignment bc of the ecm
Original aluminum rims bend and chip soooooo easy. I'm on my fifth set.
Exhaust flex pipes wear out quickly.
The rear spoiler traps moisture
Multi disc cd changer....do I even need to?
Hb the sealed transmission....
Coolant issues...anyone else?

Holy resurrection, Batman!
I have a '10 GT sedan, purchased in '14. Still one of the better built cars I have ever owned. The only really annoying thing is the lack of a dipstick for the automatic trans.
If I could change anything, I would prefer a manual instead of an automatic. If it had that (even a five speed) it would be perfect.
It amazes me that Pontiac never offered the overhead Homelink console that came in the Malibu. It's a direct plug-in. Jeez.
